INDUSTRIAL RADIATION
SAFETY OFFICER COURSE
For the year 2007 courses will be held: November 7 & 8. For the year 2008 courses will be held: February 6 & 7, May 7 & 8, August 6 & 7 and November 5 & 6. Class Starts at 8:00 am. This course is specifically designed to
provide Radiation Safety Officer training for individuals and organizations
with specific Radioactive Material Licenses or Registrations for fixed
gauges, moisture/density gauge, spinning gauge operators, and X-ray fluorescence
type devices. We recommend this course be taken by the person designated
as the "Contact Person" in a "General License Acknowledgment" application.
NATURALLY OCCURRING
RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL (NORM) SURVEYOR
This course is offered by request only. It is typically held at your facility, but special arrangements can be made to have it at our location with a minimum of 5 attendees. This course is designed to provide surveyor
training for individuals performing "NORM" surveys. Topics include:
why survey, types of surveys, types of equipment surveyed, and techniques
in the operation, use, and handling of various radiation survey instruments.
This course will also assist in meeting the requirements of TRCR Part -
46 as applicable.
A course will be held on May 24, 2007 with a minimum of 5 students per class. RADIATION SAFETY
TRAINING COURSE for GAUGE USERS
This course is offered by request only. It is typically held at your facility, but special arrangements can be made to have it at our location with a minimum of 5 attendees. This course is specifically designed to
provide adequate training to enable fixed gauge operators to meet the requirements
of Texas Regulations for Control of Radiation. This would include
the operation of liquid flow, level devices, the use of alloy analyzers,
sulfur analyzers, and X-ray fluorescence equipment, etc.
